BC Transit launches new Alberni exchange
BC Transit will roll out its new exchange and bus schedule with a customer appreciation day this Friday, Sept. 7. Activities take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the exchange, at Redford Street and 12th Avenue.
BC Transit chief operating officer Mike Davis and Port Alberni mayor John Douglas will hand out cupcakes and BC Transit safety lights, stickers and magnets.
In late August, BC Transit introduced a new system in Port Alberni where all three bus routes meet at the new exchange. The change offers more frequent trips.
Two routes—No. 3 River Road and No. 4 Crosstown—are ideal for the fall fair this weekend, Davis noted.
