Alberni's World Craft Bazaar a decade old
The World Craft Bazaar celebrates it’s tenth year in Port Alberni this weekend.
The event is on Saturday Nov. 10 at Echo Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The popular craft fair brings fairly traded items from many third world countries.
Many of the vendors who come to Port Alberni also attend similar events in Campbell River, Parksville and Courtenay where the idea for such a craft fair on the Island originated over 20 years ago.
Shoppers can choose from a wide variety of items including hand made Christmas decorations, clothing, household items, small items of furniture, a wide variety of socially conscious books and posters as well as cooperative games.
Once again Ten Thousand Villages will bring a range of crafts from their Victoria store. Numerous countries will be represented by 20 different vendors.
