Audition call for Portal’s latest stage production

Portal Players Dramatic Society will hold auditions for The Attic, The Pearls and Three Fine Girls next week.

The play is a mix of comedy and drama.

Auditions, consisting of readings from the play, will be held at The Capitol Theatre on Monday, Nov. 19 and Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. No need to register in advance: just turn up.

Directors Derek and Deb Burke are looking for three female actors aged from early to late 30s—give or take five years.

Characters are three sisters: Jelly, the youngest, an artist; Jane, a high-flying business executive; and Jo-Jo, the eldest, a professor of English  Literature.

A copy of the play is available for reading at the theatre.

Rehearsals start in February; cast readings will take place earlier. The play opens April 19.
