Gwynne Hunt from the Main Artery on Argyle Street is bringing a live production to Port Alberni.

Her play Breadlines debuts in Port Alberni on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 at Char’s Landing.

Breadlines, a thought-provoking play about poverty told in the lineup to a soup kitchen, played to praise and enthusiastic audiences at the Vancouver Fringe, Abbotsford Fringe, Fraser Valley Fringe and at Havana’s on Commercial in Vancouver since 1999.

Hunt won an Arty Award from the Abbotsford Art’s Council in the literary arts in 2010 and brings her show to Port Alberni with a new local cast.

Tickets are $7 in advance at the Main Artery, 4969 Argyle St., or $8 at the door. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. both nights and doors open at 7 p.m. Please bring a can of food for the Bread of Life. For more information, please call Gwynne at 250-723-7883.
