High school class set to jazz up Char's

Band students at Alberni District Secondary School invite you to enjoy a night of their music on this weekend.

Jazz Night with ADSS Music Department is happening on Sunday, Feb. 3 from 7-9 p.m. at Char’s Landing on Argyle Street.

The event is a prelude and fundraiser for the vocal and instrumental soloists who are going to the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho on Feb. 20.

Various musical pieces will be performed at Char’s Landing by the ADSS Jazz Band 11/12, George and Company Quartet, Reanne Miller Trio, Guitarzan and the Jungle Cats and more.

Vocal and instrumental soloists including Morgan Buxton, Arlene Oldale, and Ashley Ahira will also be performing.

Admission to the event is by donation and $10 is suggested.
