Arts Around Alberni: Day With the Arts is back

Jim Kermeen, in his first exhibit ever, is the featured artist at the Rollin Art Centre Gallery. Kermeen is showcasing a mix of colourful acrylic paintings in ConglomerART.

Don’t miss this colourfully vibrant show. The Rollin Art Centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and Argyle Street. Admission is by donation and we are wheelchair accessible.

Photo art up next at Rollin

The Rollin Art Centre’s next art exhibit will showcase local photographers Ati and Orsi Gereb. The title of this incredible selection of vivid photographs is Women and Children from around the World.

This exhibit will run from March 12 to April 10, so mark your calendars.

Book sale needs books

The Community Arts Council is accepting gently used books for its annual book sale. Please drop off any gently used books, puzzles and even CDs in the box located under the stairs at the Rollin Art Centre.

Unfortunately we will not be able to take encyclopedias, text books or library books.

This is one of the Community Arts Council’s biggest fundraisers and the council appreciates the public’s support, both with donations and purchases.

Days with the Arts is back

Please mark on your calendars for the Community Arts Council Days with the Arts event, Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2.

New artists in town interested in participating, or those who have not been contacted, please call the Rollin Art Centre with your contact information.

This popular self-directed tour of artists’ studios promises to again highlight the excellent work of our artistic community. Tickets, priced at $20, will be available in April.

Melissa Martin is the Arts Administrator for the Community Arts Council, the home of the Rollin Art Centre.
