Experience the captivating first art exhibit of 2024 at the Grove Art Gallery, featuring an exclusive showcase of works by the late E.J. Miller-Towle.
Immerse yourself in a retrospective journey through E.J. Miller-Towle’s career as a commercial artist and illustrator. There will be a special reception hosted by Tim Towle, E.J. Miller-Towle’s husband, on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 1-3 p.m.
The Grove Art Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is located at Harbour Quay.
CALL TO ARTISTS
Embark on a creative journey by showcasing your artistic prowess at our spring art exhibit titled, “When Colour Speaks to you – IGNITE YOUR IMAGINATION.”
Artists of all mediums are invited to submit up to three pieces for this exhibit (submission fee is $10 per piece). Detailed submission information is available at the Grove Art Gallery, or online at www.alberniarts.com. The exhibit opens March 26.
CELEBRATE SONG
The Community Arts Council presents a special spring concert fundraiser, featuring the Greater Victoria Police Chorus.
Immerse yourself in an afternoon of song and contribute to fundraising for the arts in our community on Sunday, April 14 at the ADSS Auditorium from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the Grove Arts Gallery in Harbour Quay.

The Community Arts Council is actively searching for board members. We welcome directors of diverse backgrounds, ages, and perspectives, including individuals with critical thinking skills and expertise in writing, volunteering, HR, finance, organization and fundraising. No arts background is necessary.

- Two-day beginner paverpol workshop with Cheryl Frehlich on Saturday, March 16 (10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and Saturday, March 23 (10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Cost is $165, including most supplies.
- Basic coloured pencil workshop with Jim Sears on Saturday, Feb. 24. Cost is $75.
- Making Waves acrylic painting workshop with Susan Schaefer on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $125.
- Limited Palette acrylic painting workshop with Susan Schaefer on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $125.
