WORKSHOPS

Start out the new year creatively!

Join us at The Grove Art Gallery for a few exciting art workshops that are currently being planned.

Basic Coloured Pencil Workshop — Saturday, Feb. 24

Join artist Jim Sears in this workshop for beginners or experienced artists who wish to experiment with the use of coloured pencils to create their artwork or complement another medium. Some experience with colour mixing and basic composition would be an asset. Coloured pencils offer another dimension of detail and effects, as well as another level of detail. The cost is $75.

Making Waves — Acrylic Painting Workshop — April 13

Whether you are making crashing waves, soft tide ripples or swirling water, you will get into the rhythm of painting waterworks. Join Susan Schaefer for this one-day class. The cost for this workshop is $125.

Limited Palette — Acrylic Painting Workshop — Saturday, June 8

There is something freeing and exhilarating about working with a limited palette. Using only three primary colours (plus white), Susan Schaefer will show you how to keep it simple and mix the colours that you want, how to edit your scene, creating a solid composition, and how to paint with confidence while using a simple palette. The cost for this workshop is $125.
