The Grove Art Gallery is thrilled to announce a new series of children’s art classes in our workshop!
Join us on April 28 and May 5 as interdisciplinary artist Nav leads the “Creative Explorers” classes for children aged 5 to 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Each Creative Explorer class focuses on play and experimentation; helping kids connect with their inner selves before diving into the artistic process. With a focus on a different medium each week—be it drawing, painting or sculpture—children will receive tailored instruction that fosters skill development and confidence. This approach ensures that each child not only creates unique artwork to take home, but also experiences personal growth and the joy of artistic creation.
This Sunday (April 28), the class will be looking at Victoria, B.C. artist Barbra Wilson and exploring her style of abstract gestural painting. Kids will connect their body to the paintbrush, creating marks and movements right from their feet.
These classes are payable by e-transfer to admincac@shawcable.com or cash at the door. If you would like to secure your spot, we suggest pre-paying. The cost is $40 per class or $72 for both classes.

THE ART OF POP-UP BOOKS
Have you ever wanted to make your own pop-up book? Join Trisha Klus on May 5 at the Grove Gallery for “I Heart Pop-Ups” from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn about the inner magic behind a pop-up book while making your own.
Classes include all the supplies, plus a soft wrap cover for your book. The theme is “Hearts.”

Timbre! Choir and musical director Rosemary Lindsay will present “A Love Song to the World” this Sunday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the ADSS Theatre. Tickets are available online at Eventbrite, from choir members, from The Grove, Echo Centre, Finishing Touches, Salmonberry’s and at the door.
