Port Alberni’s DRAW Gallery celebrates the season with ‘Heart of Winter’ exhibit

Port Alberni’s DRAW Gallery continues its tradition of showcasing work from a variety of gallery artists with the new group exhibit “Heart of Winter.”

The exhibit, which opened Dec. 12, showcases originals and prints including paintings, photographs, mixed media, glass and copper featuring work by local and Island artists such as Courtney Anderson, Cecil Dawson, Chris Doman, D.F. Gray, Guy Langlois, Karen MacRae, Ann McIvor, Shannon McWhinney, Emma Paveley, Mark Penney, Sarah Platenius, Todd Robinson, Daniel Spallone, Perrin Sparks, Sue Thomas and Tamas Zalatnai, among others. The exhibit runs until Feb. 23.

For the creative holiday shopper, a full range of gift-appropriate art at all price points is represented. For each purchase, DRAW Gallery will donate five percent of sales to the charity of your choice from the Spirit Board.

“We would like to thank you for your support and wish everyone good wishes and prosperity for 2024 and to celebrate the successes and joys of the new year to come,” said Astrid Johnston, creative director for DRAW Gallery.
