The Alberni Valley’s Words on Fire host, Stephen Novik, will celebrate his fifth anniversary since moving to the Valley during the open mic spoken word event on Thursday, May 25.
Words on Fire takes place at Char’s Landing on the last Thursday of every month.
Novik will be the feature reader for the evening and will release his third chapbook of poetry and humor, entitled Whimmill Product.
The show begins at 7 p.m. and open mic signups are at 6:45 p.m. Admission is by donation.
