Echo Centre was packed with bibliophiles Friday night as they tried to get the jump on fellow book-lovers at the Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley’s annual book sale.
This was the second year in a row the arts council opened the sale on Friday night, and one volunteer said it was an even bigger crowd than last year.
The sale continues on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are still tables filled with great reads available.
This is the arts council’s major fundraiser for the year.
