Alberni Community and Women’s Services Society (ACAWS) will be holding a candlelight walk on Wednesday, Dec. 6 for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
Join participants at 5 p.m. at ACAWS (3082 3rd Ave), then walk down the hill and gather at the Eagles’ Hall (bottom of 3rd Ave.) to remember those who have lost their lives to gender-based violence. Food and refreshments will follow.
For those who are not able to walk, rides can be provided.
The event is sponsored by North Island College and North Island Students’ Union.
