The Port Alberni and District Labour Council and the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting an all-candidates meeting for the Mid Island-Pacific Rim riding on Tuesday, April 25.

This is an opportunity for the public to hear from candidates Dan Cebuliak (BC Refederation Party), Darren DeLuca (Liberal Party), Scott Fraser (NDP incumbent) and Alicia La Rue (Green Party) prior to the BC provincial election on May 9.

The meeting takes place starting at 7 p.m. at the Italian Hall, 4065 Sixth Ave. Doors will be open earlier.

Candidates were in Tofino on April 19 for another all-candidates meeting, and will be at Alberni District Secondary School on Wednesday, April 26 to face students’ questions. That meeting, which starts at 10:15 a.m., takes place at the ADSS Theatre and is also open to the public.

Shaw TV in Port Alberni is also planning to broadcast a live-to-tape debate hosted by David Wiwchar of PEAK FM. More details will be released soon.
