Island Health has lifted a boil water advisory for Cherry Creek near Port Alberni.
The advisory had gone into effect on the weekend after heavy rain raised the levels of turbidity in the community’s source drinking water to unacceptable levels.
Subsequent testing has been completed and Island Health directed the Cherry Creek Waterworks District to lift the boil water advisory as of 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018.
