A portion of road on Burde Street and Sixth Ave will be closed temporarily for some unexpected sewer line maintenance.
“We had a request from a property owner,” said city engineer Kamruz Zaman. “We used a video camera to check the sewer lines, and we had found that a pipe was not in good shape.”
City crews are now working to replace the old pipe and put in a new one, replacing the lines to the property.
The cost of the maintenance will be to the property owners, according to Zaman.
He said he expects the work to be finished either today or tomorrow, which will result in a partial lane closure on Burde Street.
