Proposed Woodlot Licence Plan for Woodlot Licence #W1476
Notice is hereby given that the Hupacasath First Nation, Licensee for Woodlot Licence W1476, will make a proposed Woodlot Licence Plan (WLP) available for public viewing. This WLP has been developed under the Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA). The woodlot licence area is comprised of one parcel of Crown land west of Port Alberni, on the north side of Sproat Lake.
The WLP shows the areas where timber harvesting will be avoided, modified or allowed. The plan also includes information on results and strategies designed for the maintenance and protection of resource values in the plan area. The term of the WLP is ten years and this is the second term of this Woodlot Licence.
The plan is available for review by resource agencies and the public before the Ministry of Forests District Manager makes a determination and it can be reviewed during regular business hours from August 2 to September 1st, 2023 at the Econ Consulting Ltd. office.
