Audrey Rosiak

October 7, 2017

Audrey passed away peacefully in hospital on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the age of 75 years.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl and Brenda (Owen); grandchildren Jack Jesse Martin (Jaleesa), Chad (Jade) and Trinity (Brandon); great grandchildren Kianna, Mason, Skye and Jace.

Audrey was born in Hollfast, Saskatchewan, the last baby born on the Hungle Homestead. She grew up in Regina and went to school at Hold Rosary Catholic School taught by Nuns.

As a young girl, Audrey and her siblings used to go to the golf course and collect golf balls from the bad golfers and then sell them back to them for 25 cents. She then worked as an elevator operator for Sears and as a billar for City Hall. Audrey was also a nanny to all three Clarke boys and worked in shoe sales in both Regina and Victoria. She worked as a Dietary Aid for a Seniors Complex and finally the head cashier at Liquidation World in Port Alberni.

The most important job, one she excelled in, the one she referred to as a blessing, loving and standing beside her husband and being the best mom on the planet for Cheryl and Brenda. Audrey also enjoyed bowling, knitting and baking - and everyone enjoyed her baking. She also loved to shop. "shop till you drop and then some," that was her favourite saying!

Most of all she enjoyed her family - her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and all the rest.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road, Port Alberni. Stories and condolences may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca

The family would like to thank the staff of the Port Alberni Hospital. With the help of Audrey's daughter Brenda, they went above and beyond caregiving to a level of compassion that would be hard to match.

The family would also like to thank Father Stephen Payne for making a special day even more special for our Mom.
