June 17, 1942 - February 29, 2016 • Beloved son of the late Kath and Art McCreight, Don passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on February 29, 2016. Don is survived by his brother, Dave (Judi), niece Lisa Brooks (Gord), nephew Kevin McCreight (Bob), and great-nephews Justin Brooks and Garret Brooks, as well as many cousins and friends. Don was born and raised in Port Alberni, graduating from ADSS, continuing his education at SAIT, the Southern Institute of Technology in Calgary. Don spent most of his working years in Victoria. Don toured England, Europe and Africa but his fondest memories were of playing in the local band, The Renegades. The family wishes to thank Howie Anderson, Jim Rutherford and Pete Bouver for their support and friendship. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Rest in Peace, Don.
