Ewald Erwin Boehm passed away in Port Alberni on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the age of 85 years.
Predeceased by parents Wilhelm and Eva Boehm, brother Gerhard and sister Gerda Volker. Ewald is survived by loving wife of 64 years, Martha; son Ralph (Lorraine); grandson Michael (Tracy); granddaughter Shannon (Colin); great grandchildren Parker, Hanna and Taelyn; siblings Walter, Helmut and Inge and their families as well as many cousins.
Ewald came to Canada in 1953 and arrived in the Alberni Valley in 1955. He worked at the Somass Mill for 38 years ending as the Chargehand. When not working he enjoyed fishing, hunting and being in the outdoors. Ewald was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday,
November 14, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church, 4408 Redford, Port Alberni, with Pastor Kevin Platz officiating.
