RIDINGER Jason "Homeboy", "Homes", passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the age of 45 years.

Jason is survived by spouse Sarah; children Dorian and Coral; parents August and Marla; sister Janine and nephews Logan and Lucas, as well as many other extended close family and loved friends.

Jason grew up in the community of Gold River where he met lifelong friends and brothers. The bond was very tight. Upon graduation, Jason lived in Victoria running his own DJ'ing company and working for the Clipper Navigation for over 15 years. From there Jason moved to Port Alberni with his family to enjoy the West Coast lifestyle more.

He worked at Fir Park/Echo Village doing what he loved- cooking- and making the lives of the seniors a happier time. He was the Chief Shop Steward, passionate about creating equality in the workforce!

Jason was forever making meals for friends and family and not a weekend went by where people were not gathered around enjoying his talent for preparing seafood or a roast and having a social.

Jason was ONE OF A KIND! So much love for others! In his younger years Jason could be found swimming and cliff jumping at the local swimming holes, playing hockey, swimming competitively, and listening to music with lifelong friends.

When not working, Jason was fishing, camping, swimming, having bonfires, caring for his hobby farm and spending time with his family-the most important things in his life!

Jason had a smile and laugh that would brighten up the room, but nothing held a candle to the love and pride he had for his children.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Chapel of Memories, 4005-6th Avenue.

Celebration of Life to follow in Jason's style!
