Jerry passed away peacefully at home November 9, 2017 following a short and couragous battle with cancer at the age of 61.
He leaves behind his loving wife Kerry; daughter Faydra (Eric) Arsenault; Grandchildren Corissa, Taylor , Brayden & Eryn; daughters Cathy Cooper (Sparrow) and Carol Fiorilli (Sparrow) and extended families.
He also leaves behind sisters Alice Caldwell (Lefty), Gabrielle Frost , Lise Laderoute, and Theresa Herzog (Lloyd) and many numerous nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Port Alberni. Jerry recently retired from almost 40 years at Catylast Papers. As a long time employee he has left behind many old friends. Jerry had a love for fast cars and was finally able to buy his greatest joy , the"Retirement Toy" Dodge Challenger RT.
Fishing and camping was where Jerry was most happy. Family time and campfires was where he loved to be. He spent most of the time enjoying and overseeing the grandkids. He was also a true Montreal Canadians fan that enjoyed the banter of the playoffs with family and friends. A kindhearted rivalry was present every year.
Forever in our hearts and greatly missed by many.
A celebration of life will be held @ 3 pm, Saturday, November 25th at the Hanson Hall located at 3940 Johnston Rd, Port Alberni BC V9Y 5N5.
