July 7, 1930 - March 11, 2016 • Joyce Lillie May Meredith, 85, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2016 in her home. Predeceased by her husband Emmett Meredith in 1994; daughter Charmaine Kennedy in 2014. Survived by daughter Marguerite Kennedy (Gordon Robson), grandson Richard Booth (Taylor), great-granddaughter Aurdra Leigh Booth, all from Nanaimo; sister Constance Parman of Victoria, BC; and son-in-law Alfred Alexander (Char, deceased).
Joyce was a quiet, reserved lady who loved her home and barely left it. After the death of her eldest daughter, Charmaine, Joyce became more withdrawn, leading to dementia. She is now at rest with her loved one who predeceased her. Cremation has taken place. At Joyce’s request, there will be no service.
The family wishes to acknowledge Joyce’s neighbours for their support, dedication and caring nature over the years - helping Joyce with any chores, shopping or driving around that was required.
