Lory passed away peacefully in Ty Watson house on Thursday November 24, 2016 at the age of 58 years.

Predeceased by mother Verna Krushenska and aunt Lilian, Lory is survived by her loving husband Dave; children Geoffrey and Johanna; father David; siblings Steve (Cheryl) of Elkford, BC, Terri (Steve) of Fernie, BC., and Ross (Jo) of Penticton, BC ; as well as Uncle Ray in Alberta and cousin Erin (Dwayne) of Smithers, BC.

Born and raised in Port Alberni, Lory graduated out of high school and worked for a short time at the Somass Mill. She met and married Dave and once the children came along, stayed home to look after them. Lory started working in 2007 for VIHA for Public Health and specifically the Health Outreach Program. Lory thoroughly enjoyed working in the programs and working with the staff there.

No formal service will be held. A private family event will take place at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Drs Johnson, Van der Merwe, Nel, and Van der Puten, as well as the amazing staff and volunteers of the Ty Watson House. To the staff at Dr Van der Puten’s office – thank you so much. Also, a mention for the support of the Red Cross office in town and to family and friends for their wonderful support during these trying times.
