Mary Larson
August 9, 1940 – July 16, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Rose Larson after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Our beloved wife, mom, grandma and great grandma “GG”.
Mary is survived by her best friend and husband of 53 years Ken, her daughters, Deb (Pete), and Deneen (Greg), grandchildren Holly (Joe), Melissa, Jordan and Nic, and her pride and joy great granddaughter Hannah, brothers David (Marj) Swaluk and Ted (Marian) Swaluk and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Elfreda Swaluk, and brother Richard Swaluk, who all lost their battles with cancer as well.
Mary was a realtor in Port Alberni for 30 years and after retiring from real estate, she opened ‘Rainy Day Framing’. Mary enjoyed travel and she and Ken made an amazing 32 trips to Hawaii, as well as travels to Hong Kong, Italy and California to list a few.
A special thanks to the health nurses at VIHA.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, July 28, 2013, 1 PM - 4 PM at the Alberni Valley Golf Club.
