Patricia passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024, after a brief illness.
She leaves behind to forever miss her, her daughter, Heidi; son, Michael (Chastity); grandchildren, Kirk, Faith, Cameron and Brady; great grandchildren, Ryland and Isla; sister in aw, Margaret Gerrard; brother in law, Warren Evans, as well as several nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Art; her parents, Jack and Evelyn Beard; sister, June Koppa (John Koppa); brother in law, Lorne Evans (Diane) and sister in law, Bernice Evans.
Pat was born in Vancouver and spent her school years in Quesnel. After graduating, she spent 15 years working at CIBC in Vancouver BC where she met and married Art. The family relocated to Port Alberni in 1977 where they settled in and spent many happy years raising their family.
Pat spent many years volunteering in the community with the Hospital Auxiliary, the Beaver Creek Fire Department, and the Sunshine Club. She was also involved in the Red Hat Society and the Trinity Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Echo Village and WCGH for all the care and support they have given Pat over the last few years.
Services for Pat will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Pat's memory may do so by making a donation in her name to Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Ty Watson House.
