Phyllis passed away peacefully Saturday night, February 13th, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born April 27th, 1928 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She made Port Alberni her home in 1971. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Andrew Volk in 1982 and daughter in law, Dianne Volk in 2014; and is survived by her best friend and husband Percy Chisholm, her three children Ronni, Ray and Robin (Judy), grandchildren Lisa (Zach), Arthur (Shannon), Danny, Makayla (Darcy), Brennen, great grandchildren Brody (Blair), Jolie, Jonah and Chloe, sister Nonie Muir and family, sister in law; Dorothy Adair, and special friends; Karen Burnett (Art), Audie Stolz and John Bollack.
Phyllis, or better known as “Grams” was a member of the Legion, and past president of Echo Village. She loved her gardening, painting, and spending time with family. The family would like to thank the staff for their wonderful care at Echo Village where Grams spent her last 11 years. A Celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church on Saturday, March 19th, 2016 at 2:00 pm. A tea will follow.
