On July 8th 2016, Frederick Robert Davies, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 75. He was survived by his family Diona Davies, Doris Davies, Tommy Davies, Tom Davies and Amanda Davies. Fred was a kind, patient, loving and eternally funny man. He lived and died exactly how he wanted. He spent his whole life in the Alberni Valley and was known by many throughout his life. He worked hard up until retirement for Weyerhauser/MacMillan Blodel as a boom operator. He also volunteered for citizens on patrol. He was also known in the HAM world as BC Caveman. He will be greatly missed. His smile and stories will be remembered forever. There will be no public service for Fred, but a private family function will take place in the Alberni Inlet which is where he loved to be.
