Sheilla passed away peacefully surrounded by family at West Coast General Hospital on October 9, 2016, at the age of 78. Predeceased by her loving husband, Jack, her son Cody, and her parents Scott and Dorothy; Sheilla is survived by her sister Jane Fitchen; daughters Sharon (Steve) and Carla, son Karl Lee (Karen); grandchildren Kyla, Jacklyn, Rylee and Desire’; great-grandchildren Baileigh, Drason, Luca, Declan, Luxton, as well as extended family and friends. Sheilla was a caring, loving, and kind person. She was a member of the Sunshine club, a volunteer for friendly phone service, and an avid quilter. She will be greatly missed. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. John Meyer, Dr. Wendy Johnsen, and the staff at West Coast General Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Sheilla, as well as Sheilla’s friends and neighbours for their friendship, support and assistance. Following Sheilla’s wishes, no formal service will be held. A tea will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sheilla’s memory to a charity of your choice.
