Our beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend passed away on Feb. 5, 2015.
He was born on January 26, 1945 in Broek-Op-LangeDyk, Holland, moving to Canada with his family in 1954.
In 1967 he married Susan Morris and together they had three children.
Simon was a great fixer, a mechanic by trade. He loved people and met many of them at workplaces through the years at Plywood, Franklin and the City of Port Alberni. He loved boating with his family, fishing, car shows and travelling with Sue.
His family and friends would recognize Simons unique exclamation, "Geez....hey "
He will be greatly missed. He is survived by wife Susan, his sons Ted (Rya), Michael and Dennis (Leah), grandchildren Hayley, Adisyn and Cruz, and by brothers: Bill (Mary), Neil, sisters Margaret Stephanson ( Butch), Greta Heinen ( Henry ) and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial tea will be held at the Cherry Creek community hall on Friday February 13, 1:00 - 3:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity.
