Wayne Hasler (aka Poppa Wayne, Lolo Wayne, Dad and Mother or Mom) passed away at the age of 71 in the early hours of February 18, 2016.
He leaves behind his wife, Diane, daughter Sandra (Viki and her family), son Barry (his three daughters), daughter Val (Conrado, Soleil, Jhurnee, Ceylon). He also leaves behind his step-dad, Doug Bonk, adopted sister, Rose, his father John Hasler and step-mom Barb. He will be greatly missed by his sisters-in-law, Lynda and Boni and brother-in-law Roger, nieces and nephews and cousins and friends. Wayne loved to help others and did his best to make this corner of the world a little better. He had a positive attitude and was determined to survive his cancer. His life was good because he made it that way. Wayne requested cremation.
There will be a Celebration of Wayne’s Life at the Search and Rescue Hall, 4790 Tebo Ave at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, March 5, 2016.
The family requests no flowers, but rather send donations in Wayne’s memory to Ty Watson House, 2649 – 2nd Ave, Port Alberni, BC, V9Y 1Z8.
