Sunshine club focusses on fun

The Sunshine Club has a wide variety of activities and programs that suit all personalities.

Members have the opportunity to be involved in physically active programs such as hiking and table tennis, social activities like the dinner and lunch group or areas of personal interest such as photography, quilting, cards, music and much more.

Whatever activity may interest you, new members are always welcome and quickly involved.

In February, the Sunshine Club will host a special event on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at Echo Centre. These special events are a great reason to get out and enjoy some wonderful entertainment, refreshments, goodies and socialize.

Tickets are only $2 each and are available at the Sunshine Club office, located in the Echo Centre lobby, or by phoning 250-720-2505.

The Sunshine Club also hosts a monthly dance, welcoming both members and non-members to join the fun. February’s monthly dance will be held Friday, Feb. 22 at Echo Centre at 7:30 p.m.

This month, the Hillbilly Country band featuring Gordie and Myrna McConnell and Friends will be playing. The cost to attend is $3 each for Sunshine Club members and $5 for non-member guests.  Admissions are taken at the door to covers the cost of refreshments, spot dance prizes and more.

For more information on the monthly dance or any other Sunshine Club activities, please phone 250-720-2505 or pick up a club monthly newsletter at Echo Centre.
