Development a key issue in election

Will the new government avoid development, one reader wants to know.

To the Editor,

I’m finding it disturbing that the voting public is poised to elect a government that is bound and determined to avoid economic development in B.C.

We’ve been there and suffered dire consequences. And in our constituency, we are choosing between a candidate that doesn’t even live in the riding as opposed to Mr. DeLuca, whose family have been stalwart, hard-working Alberni boosters for decades.

The BC Liberals have made some questionable decisions over the past 12 years but nothing worth voting in the alternative.
