To the Editor,
Kudos to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs’ organization and the wonderful hockey fans who enthusiastically supported cancer awareness initiatives sponsored by local volunteers of the Canadian Cancer Society.
The sale of cowbells netted about $300 with other donations bringing the total to $803.13. This sum has been donated to breast cancer research with our gratitude.
Besides being the “community with a heart” it also proves we’re home to the best fans in the BC Hockey League. A standing ‘o’ to everyone!
