Re: “Lathom Road is not a race track,” Letters, March 6, 2024
Third Avenue South between Mar Street and Ship Creek Road should not be a race track either. Between 4:30 a.m. and midnight all types of noisy vehicles and logging trucks are speeding and racing, even some specific vehicles like the “blue car” who we can noisily trace travelling north daily between Montrose Street as far down as Argyle Street.
Along Third Avenue are many families affected daily. In only a one-block span, 40 families reside. Several have experienced damages in the past due to vehicle and property accidents.
My neighbours and I would be very thankful to have some monitoring established on this road, especially during the better weather.
