No praise for industrial 'junk'

Industry art outside of city hall reminds us of our industrial decay and declining employment.

To the Editor,

I applaud our mayor’s support of the initiative to place more industrial junk in the South Port downtown area.

It will simultaneously remind us of our industrial decay and decline of employment and of the fact that our downtown looks like a dump, vacant buildings and all.

Well done, indeed! Such new developments will well complement the pile of junk now outside city hall, doubtless a symbol of revitalization and growth.

And what of a certain restaurant on Third Avenue that has gobbled up four parking spaces for an outdoor patio? Looks like undue favouritism to me.
