The Alberni Valley Bulldogs will give a salute to the Valley’s first responders at their Saturday, Feb. 11 home game against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) sponsored game will give those in attendance the chance to win a surprise one-time only jersey.

“It’s a one time shot at the end of the game,” Jolie McMullan, sales and marketing with the Bulldogs.

“These jerseys will be auctioned off. Live auction right after the game.”

The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned right off the players’ backs after the game.

McMullan said the game is to recognize the dedicated work of first responders in the community—something the Bulldogs do each season.

She said a search and rescue dog will drop the puck at the beginning of the game.
