Two Alberni Valley Bulldogs players will be headed to Penticton in the new year for the BC Hockey League’s All-Star Weekend.

Bulldogs captain Nicholas Beneteau and goaltender Callum Tung have both been invited to the BCHL’s 2024 Top Prospects Game and All-Star Tournament, which takes place Jan. 19 and 20 in Penticton.

Each BCHL team has one skater represented on the initial roster, voted in by BCHL coaches and general managers. An additional two goaltenders were voted in from each conference.

The rosters will eventually be split into four teams of six skaters and one goaltender and will compete in a 3-on-3 tournament outdoors.

Bulldogs fans have one more chance to vote another player onto the All-Star roster. The remaining roster spots will be decided by a fan vote, which starts Friday, Dec. 1 on the BCHL website. Fans will have until Thursday, Dec. 7 to vote in an additional player from their favourite team.
