Special to the AV News

It’s great to see so many new members joining the Men’s Club this season!

The numbers on Sunday mornings are holding up nicely with 56 players again this week. Thanks go out to Alberni Auto Group for their contribution to the day. The game this week that everyone seemed to enjoy was Partner with a Pro playing in the Masters. Each one of our golfers was partnered with a pro, and their net score added to their pro’s score was where they finished in our tournament. We have added a few of our own gross scores as well.

On the net side, keeping in mind that our members’ score is added to their pro partners score, Dave Mann topped the list with 135, followed by Sam Parhar 136, Terry Argotow 138, Chris Owen 138, Tanner Doucette 139, Darcy Haggard 140, Jamie Wahl 141 Tim Morrison 141, Chris Bird 143, Ron Clark 143 and Paul Saulnier 143. On the gross side Tyler Ibsen shot 75, Mike Savard 76, Cody Breuker 77, Colton Buffie 78, Bill Barrett 78 and Wayne Cheveldave 80. All ties were settled by retrogression.

The closest to the pin winners were Wayne Cheveldave on No. 2, Scott Arbuckle on No. 4, Bob Matlock on No. 13 and Colin Hamilton on No. 17. The Charity Closest to the pin on No. 7 went to Greg Eyford, who collected $84.

Next week will be a four-man best net and best gross competition. You play your own ball right through tee to green, but you have a separate line for the best gross and another line for the best net out of the four of you. Use two cards!

This event is sponsored by Ace Automotive.

Please book your own time in your own group starting at 8 a.m. and going to 10 a.m.
