Teresa Bird

My journey in the newspaper industry on Vancouver Island spans over 40 years. I took my first steps in this career as a journalist in Ucluelet, and more recently, I've been based in Port Alberni, where I've been honored to serve as the publisher of the Alberni Valley News since 2011.

Beyond my work, I find great joy in traveling, particularly to visit my children and grandchildren who are living abroad. These moments with family enrich my life and provide inspiration for my work in the newspaper industry.
