More than 40 businesses have teamed up to present Alberni Valley Expo, this Thursday, March 15 from 6–9 p.m. at the Italian Hall in Port Alberni.

A joint venture between the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce, Business Network International (BNI), the Women's Business Network and Community Futures, the business fair has been organized to promote local businesses and to encourage people to shop local, a fair spokesperson said.

Businesses will have displays and demonstrations of their products or services. There will be free raffles and door prizes, including a grand prize of a $200 gift certificate to the business of the winner's choice, based on businesses represented at the fair.

The business fair is open to the public and admission is free. The Italian Hall is located at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Wallace Street in Port Alberni.
