Alberni Heritage Fair a historic affair

Nearly 125 students from Alberni, Comox Valley and West Coast participated in the annual Alberni Valley Museum Heritage Fair on May 11.

Nearly 125 students from the Alberni Valley, Comox Valley and West Coast participated in the annual Alberni Valley Museum Heritage Fair last week. In honour of the fair’s 10th anniversary, a T-shirt contest was held among Grade 3 students in Port Alberni and fair participants received T-shirts sporting the winning design.

The public portion of the heritage fair was more popular than ever, museum director Jean McIntosh said.

Five students will be chosen from among the winners to attend the provincial fair in Abbotsford in July. Following are the winners from the heritage fair:
