The annual Rock and Gem Show takes place this Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 at Cherry Creek Hall.

The annual Rock and Gem Show takes place this Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 at Cherry Creek Hall.

This year’s special guest is Graham Beard, a paleontologist who runs the Qualicum Beach Paleontology Museum.

The show also includes displays and demonstrations like painting on rocks, faceting and micro-mounts, as well as a touch table.

Admission is $2, and children under 10 will be admitted free if they are accompanied by an adult.

The show is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
