BC Transit provides free bus service on New Year's Eve

Extended night service will run until 1:30 a.m. in Port Alberni

British Columbia's BC Transit and its government partners are offering special service for New Year's Eve in regions across the province.

There will be extended late-night service offered on New Year's Eve (Tuesday, Dec. 31) in Port Alberni with free service after 7:30 p.m.

The schedule for Port Alberni is as follows: regular service until 10:25 p.m., then extended service from 10:25 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Free evening service will be from 7:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Service on Wednesday, Jan. 1 (New Year's Day) will run on the Sunday service schedule. Regular service will resume on Thursday, Jan. 2.
