Cars and Coffee becoming a regular event in Port Alberni

Classic Car Adventures members share enthusiasm for four-wheeled classics

Elizabeth Street was closed for a couple of blocks on Sunday, July 29 for the monthly Cars and Coffee event, put on by Classic Car Adventures and its co-founder, Dave Hord.

WATCH: Car event draws enthusiasts to Elizabeth Street

The event started in May thanks to car enthusiast Helen Poon, who also owns the Kingsway Hotel and Pub in Port Alberni.

Poon, who is a member of Classic Car Adventures, hopes the event will become a monthly happening in the Alberni Valley, on the last Sunday of each month. Organizers are hoping to hold the next event on Sunday, Aug. 26, location to be announced.

Cars and Coffee is one of a number of car events and show n’ shines held every summer in the Alberni Valley.
