First Our Town event brings frontier fun to Port Alberni

Summer program kicks off at Blair Park on Tuesday, July 10

The first Our Town event of the summer will kick off at Blair Park on Tuesday, July 10 with a “Wild, Wild West” theme.

Enoy a night of frontier fun, featuring games, face painting, crafts and playground activities. Visit animal friends at the petting farm courtesy of the Cloverpatch Club, Arrowsmith Club and Kennel Club. Boots and Bridles will offer horse rides and members of Cupe Local 118 will take visitors on a hay ride.

Some of the fun games and activities at Blair Park include ring tosses, bean bag tosses, duck races, an obstacle course challenge, giant bubbles, a lasso the pony game, spray park activities and much more.

Children can enjoy some cool summer refreshments and treats, courtesy of Tyler’s No Frills.

Come out and enjoy a night in the Wild, Wild West runs from 6-8 p.m at Blair Park (5095 Pineo Drive).

Don’t miss out on the upcoming Our Town events on Tuesday, July 24 at Gyro Rec Park, Thursday, Aug. 7 at Bob Dailey Stadium and Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Harbour Quay.
