Geology rocks the Alberni Rock and Gem Club’s world May 6

Learn about the economic geology of coal at the gem club's May meeting at Cherry Creek Hall in Port Alberni.

On Sunday May 6 at 7:00 p.m., the Alberni Valley Rock and Gem Club will meet at the Cherry Creek Community Hall.  After a brief meeting, we will be watching a video from the series “Introduction to Geology” by Professor John J. Renton – “Economic Geology of Coal”.  Don has the whole series, so if we enjoy this one, we can plan on seeing more.

The Alberni Valley Rock & Gem Club meets  the first Sunday each month at 7:00 p.m.   New members are always welcome, come and find out if this hobby is for you!  For more information, call  Dave @ 250-723-0281or visit our website at
