The Jane Austen Festival is helping Literacy Alberni with a fundraiser by donating a quilt to be raffled off.

Quilters Yvonne Gunn and Cheryl Frehlich spent 40 hours creating “The Jane Austen”, and last week they dropped it off at Literacy Alberni on Craig Street and Tebo Avenue to be raffled. Tickets are $5 each and are available at Literacy Alberni as well as any of the Jane Austen Festival events July 8–9.

The draw will take place on, Sept. 28 during Raise a Reader.
