Bloedel, Stewart & Welch's Shay No.15 went through the middle of a trestle near Franklin River in December 1939.
The No. 15 was a Lima Shay built in 1929 and was previously numbered No. 2 when it worked for Eagle Lake Spruce Mills and Great Central Sawmills.
After the derailment, it was rebuilt and worked out of Menzies Bay until the line was shut down.
