The Rogers family of Port Alberni celebrated a special day on Sept. 6, 2023. It was on that date that Pat Rogers’ great great granddaughter, Mila Mae, was born.

Rogers, a resident of Abbeyfield House for more than five years, was at hand to share her family photograph and her happiness of such an important occasion in her life: ¨We are so happy in our family with the arrival of this beautiful girl,” she said.

Rogers is the matriarch of her family: she has seven children (six boys and a girl), 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and has lived in the Alberni Valley since 1939.

Rogers recently had a five-generation photo taken with some of her family members, including baby Mila Mae, her oldest son Randy, great granddaughter Taylor (Mila Mae’s mother) and grandson Adam.

It is interesting to point out that Taylor, who was born in 1997, was also a five-generation baby. She was the great great granddaughter of Marie Rogers, Pat’s husband’s mother.
